in the heart of the AlpsThe La Norma aquatic leisure center is open all summer and features a swimming pool with slide and wooden and grassy beaches. It's the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy on hot days.
Right next door, a small lake where you can try snorkeling and where a waterline (slackline over water) has been installed.
The Saint-Benoit waterfall...
a giant mister!Better than a spray of mineral water, the Saint-Benoît waterfall is a giant misting device! A superb 90m-high waterfall, ultra-easy to access in Avrieux, at the foot of the resort. It's our favorite cool spot, with a pretty stream that invites you to relax, little pools for children to dip their feet in, picnic areas... Beware: you'll make some people jealous if you post photos of the waterfall in the middle of a heatwave...
Climbing to the top...
lower the temperatureTo escape the heatwave, take to the heights! Climbing to higher altitudes not only allows you to cool off, but also to make some very pleasant discoveries. Take, for example, the Lac de la Partie above the Orgère valley in the Parc national de la Vanoise. A superb lake with turquoise waters that's a must-see. If you're not keen on hiking, you can simply take the Mélézet gondola to enjoy milder temperatures in the shade of the forest, or recharge your batteries on the new Erica trail around the resort.
