The Saint Benoît Chapel, located across from the waterfall of the same name, dates back to the 11th century. It has been expanded over time, and its interior decoration dates from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Description

A major landmark in the town of Avrieux, the Saint Benoît Chapel is well worth a visit for its history and interior decoration. Probably built around the 11th century, the chapel underwent expansions up until the 20th century and features 18th-century decorations by a local priest as well as 19th-century stencil work. A place of pilgrimage, it houses hundreds of different votive offerings.
