La Norma

With its 27 consecutive switchbacks, it's hard to find a more challenging trail, either up or down. Away from the ski lifts, enjoy the peace and quiet of the spruce forest that gives La Norma its charm.

Description

Adopt a senator's pace to start your ascent calmly. Follow the zigs and zags, breathing in the fresh forest air. From time to time, allow yourself the luxury of a sensory break. Overlook the gorges of the torrent de Saint-Antoine. Can you hear its rushing waters? Rising to an altitude of almost 3,000 metres in the Belle Plinier area, the torrent has witnessed centuries of erosion. What a flow when the snow melts to flow directly into the Arc, 2000 metres below! After so much energy, you may be tempted to take a break at the ONF chalet. The edge of the forest is just a few steps away. Enjoy the sunny view over the valley from the Carrelet chairlift.

1/ How is trail running time calculated?
Trail times are calculated on the basis of reference paces for a regular runner who practices running on average 1 or 2 times a week.
