Snowshoe itinerary: La Repose

This loop invites you to take a leisurely, scenic stroll. Amid snow-covered chalets and ski slopes, your gaze wanders to the Grand Roc Noir and Mont Froid, which tower over the valley like silent sentinels.

Make sure your gear and clothing are appropriate for the forecast.
Postpone your activity if the weather forecast is poor. Follow safety instructions and do not stray from marked trails in winter.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

• 1/ At the top of the Repose chairlift arrival station, head down the side of the Route de la Repose green run to the Saint-Joseph ski lift. Continue straight ahead to reach the base of the Arlette chairlift departure station.
  2/ 0 h 15 - From the bottom of the chairlift, cross the slopes above the restaurant and the snack bar to reach a groomed path through the trees. Continue straight ahead, taking care when crossing the Snow Park, to reach the intersection of the La Repose chalets.
  3/ 0 h 25 - At this intersection, turn right to pass the chalets, cross a clearing, and reach the next junction.
  4/ 0 h 35 - At the crossroads, turn right again and continue straight on to the EDF Platform.
  5/ 0 h 45 - At the platform, enjoy the calm of the site, then make a U-turn to get back to the intersection after the EDF platform. Continue straight ahead to reach the Carrefour de l'Eurette.
  6/ 1:05 a.m. - At the crossroads, turn left toward La Repose, then return along the same route as the outward journey. Watch out for slope crossings before returning to the La Repose chairlift terminal.
  7/ 1:30 a.m. - La Repose chairlift arrival station.
