Snowshoe itinerary: La Repose

This loop invites you to take a gentle, panoramic stroll. Between snow-covered chalets and ski slopes, your gaze wanders to the Grand Roc Noir and Mont Froid, which dominate the valley like silent sentinels.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

• 1/ At the top of the Repose chairlift arrival station, go down the side of the Route de la Repose green run to the Saint-Joseph ski lift. Continue straight on to reach the foot of the Arlette chairlift departure station.
  2/ 0 h 15 - From the bottom of the chairlift, cross the slopes above the restaurant and the salle hors sac to reach a groomed path between the trees. Continue straight ahead, taking care when crossing the Snow Park, to reach the intersection of the La Repose chalets.
  3/ 0 h 25 - At this intersection, turn right to pass the chalets, cross a clearing and reach the next junction.
  4/ 0 h 35 - At the crossroads, turn right again and continue straight on to the Plateforme EDF.
  5/ 0 h 45 - At the platform, enjoy the calm of the site, then make a U-turn to get back to the intersection after the EDF platform. Continue straight ahead to reach the Carrefour de l'Eurette.
  6/ 1 h 05 - At the crossroads, turn left towards La Repose, then return along the same route as the outward journey. Watch out for slope crossings before returning to the La Repose chairlift terminal.
