Sentier découverte de l'Orgère

Villarodin-Bourget
Discovery Trail of Orgère - Tourist Office HMV

Take a serene stroll along a bucolic trail suitable for everyone, including people with disabilities. A gateway to the Vanoise National Park opens up before your very eyes. Don't hesitate, set off to discover this wild valley.

Description

Greeted by the songs of the valley's chickadees, crickets and other wilder tenants, the whole family can venture along this path without difficulty. If some decide to keep company with Benoît's goats at the bottom of the valley, others will make their way back down to the path that invites them to frolic along the stream on the way back to the Orgère refuge. And if they prefer to take a balcony route, they can wind their way up a few switchbacks to overlook the valley in the heart of the Haute Maurienne Vanoise limber pines. Dressed in dark-grey flaky bark, they have proudly colonized the slope, where you can breathe in the scent of sun-warmed resin. Guess the size of the biggest trunk you'll come across! And who knows, maybe the speckled nutcracker will welcome you to this cembra grove, so typical of high alpine forests? But what's this bird so fond of pine needles amidst all these arolles?
